Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO)

Tanzania Association of Tour Operators was established in 1983 to promote and represent individual tour operators in the Country and at the international level. The association was established at the peak of economic crisis in Tanzania. At that time economy was centrally planned and dominated by public sector while the private sector was small and struggling. The Purpose of TATO was considered important as united front to advance the interest of the private Tour Operators by engaging the Government through dialogue in promotion of Tourism, at the same time acting to promote high Tourist service delivery, both nationally and internationally

SITE Global

SITE Global, or the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence, is a professional association dedicated to the incentive travel industry. Founded in 1973, SITE has over 2,600 members across 90 countries, representing various sectors including corporations, agencies, airlines, and hotels. The organization focuses on advancing the incentive travel industry through education, certification, and networking opportunities.

SITE offers certifications like the Certified Incentive Specialist (CIS) and Certified Incentive Travel Professional (CITP) to help professionals demonstrate their expertise in the field. The association also hosts events, such as the annual SITE Global Conference, which brings together industry professionals for learning and networking.

African Travel & Tourism Association

The website `atta.travel` is associated with the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA). It serves as a global network and resource hub for adventure travel professionals, including tour operators, destination representatives, gear suppliers, and other industry partners. 

The ATTA provides a variety of services to its members, such as networking opportunities, marketing and public relations support, industry research, and access to educational resources. It also organizes events like the Adventure Travel World Summit, where industry professionals can connect, share insights, and collaborate on promoting sustainable and impactful adventure travel.

We, at Make My Safari, take your safety seriously. We therefore include an AMREF Membership for the duration of your safari & mountain climbs with us at no extra cost!
AMREF, the flying doctors organisation based in Nairobi, provides air evacuation services in medical emergencies across East Africa, as well as air ambulance transfers between medical facilities.
Incase of a medical emergency there will be one free air ambulance evacuation service from any of your safari destinations areas to a Nairobi hospital.
There is also a free 24hrs Flying Doctor’s emergency response telephone for medical advice.

All hospital costs, medical treatments, medicines etc. are not included in this service, so it is strongly advisable that additionally to the AMREF membership, you hold an adequate travel health insurance.
