Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, complete customs and immigration, and meet your driver for transfer to your hotel in Moshi Town. Overnight at River Tree Lodge.
Day 2: Marangu Gate to Mandara Huts
After breakfast, head to Kilimanjaro National Park Gate. Wait for your permits while enjoying the lively atmosphere. Begin your trek through muddy trails to Mandara Huts.

Day 3: Mandara Huts to Horombo Huts
Depart for Horombo Hut, leaving the rainforest behind. Enjoy stunning views of Mawenzi along the way.

- Distance: 12.5km
- Hiking Time: 6-8hrs
- Habitat: Moorland
Day 4: Acclimatization Day at Horombo Huts
Spend a day at Horombo to acclimatize. Option to hike to Mawenzi base camp for better altitude adjustment.
Day 5: Horombo Huts to Kibo huts
After breakfast, continue to Kibo Hut, crossing the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo.

Day 6: Summit Attempt - Horombo Huts to Uhuru Peak
Begin your ascent at midnight. Reach Stella Point for breathtaking views, then continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Descend back to Horombo Hut for your final night on the mountain.

- Distance: 6.2km (up), 15.75km (down)

Day 7: Decent to Marangu Hut and Departure
After breakfast, trek back to Marangu Gate for your certificate presentation. Transfer back to Moshi and spend a leisure day before your flight.
