Itinerary

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport; transfer to your hotel in Arusha.

  • Accommodation: Overnight at Forest Hill Hotel.
  • Drive Time: Approximately 1.5 hours from the airport to the hotel.

  • Morning: After breakfast, check out and depart for Mto Wa Mbu. Travel through the Great Rift Valley, passing extinct volcanoes and enjoying views of Oldoinyo Lengai.
  • Afternoon: Arrive at Camp on the banks of the Engaresero River; trek to hidden waterfalls in the rift valley.
  • Evening: Rest at Kamakia Camp before starting the midnight climb of Oldoinyo Lengai.
  • Climb: Depart around midnight for a 4-hour ascent to the summit. Witness the glowing lava at the peak.
  • Accommodation: Overnight at Kamakia Camp (DBL).

  • Morning: Enjoy sunrise and views of the Rift Valley before descending. Return to camp for breakfast and relaxation.
  • Afternoon: Optional short walking activities or relaxation at the camp.

  • Morning: Breakfast followed by a guided walk around Lake Natron, a major flamingo breeding site.
  • Cultural Experience: Visit a Maasai boma to interact with the community and learn about their culture.
  • Afternoon: Return to the campsite for lunch and prepare to drive back to Arusha.
  • Evening: Depending on your itinerary, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home or stay overnight at a designated hotel or lodge.
