Itinerary
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Â
- Dinner and overnight at Silver Palm Hotel (Half Board).
Register at the gate and begin the hike with an armed ranger escort. Experience wildlife sightings, including elephants, zebras, and giraffes. Â
- Elevation: 1,200m to 2,514m
- Distance: About 10km
- Hiking Time: 4 to 6 hours
- Habitat: Montane Forest
- Depart from Arusha to Momela Gate (1.5-hour drive).
- Dinner and overnight at Miriakamba Hut.
Hike from Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut, enjoying spectacular views of Meru Crater and Ash Cone. Hot lunch at Saddle Hut. Optional short climb to the summit of Little Meru (3,820m) for sunset views. Â
- Elevation: 2,514m to 3,570m
- Distance: About 8km
- Hiking Time: 3 to 5 hours
- Habitat: Forest Moorland
- Dinner and overnight at Saddle Hut.
Early start at 1:30 AM to climb steeply to Rhino Point (3,800m) and Cobra Point (4,350m). Reach the summit (4,566m) at sunrise and enjoy breathtaking views, potentially including Kilimanjaro Peak. Descend to Miriakamba Hut. Â

- Distance: About 5km ascent and 23km descent
- Hiking Time: Ascent: 4 to 6 hours, Descent: 3 to 4 hours

Descend from Miriakamba Hut to the gate, with options to visit Fig Tree Arch and a hidden waterfall. Transfer back to your hotel in Arusha. Â
